Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said in a statement to voters abroad that he would end the imposition of income taxes on Americans living in other countries, the latest in a series of tax proposals he has made in the final stages of his 2024 campaign. The pledge could simplify the tax liability of U.S. citizens living overseas. Americans, regardless of where they live in the world, must submit tax information to the IRS, in addition to paying taxes in their country of residence.
